Discussion Evening Manchester - Responsibility to Protect

Given recent events in Burma / Myanmar, the issue of 'responsibility to protect' (R2P) is particularly topical. First discussed in 2001, R2P grew out of frustration with experiences in Somalia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Kosovo, it is a controversial recomendation as it challenges state sovereignty, the basis of world order and international relations.

Medsin National Conference "Power and Politics in Global Health"
